They advertise a car at a certain value on the web. When you try to buy at that price they come up with a 20% higher price and tell you that few customers qualify for that price.
They are cheating and lying. Advertise at one price. After you test drive and show interest they present a significant higher price.

My dying husband wanted to assure I was left with a good vehicle before passing and our attorney friend suggested we try a Prius. I had been the owner of five Toyota's previously with all good experience from a dealership in Pinellas Park.
I was sold a 2010 Prius with just under 15k miles loaded for a cash deal of just under 25k, it was a steal for them . I was assured the car had not been involved in any collision. I was assured this used vehicle was certified by Toyota and a great deal. I purchased the car that day.
I drove the car for just a few days before I was certain this car was out of alignment. I took it in and they told me it checked out ok and the alignment was fine. Well again, I am on the road and she pulls hard to the side and my tires are clearly wearing down. I returned and paid for an alignment and had to purchase four new tires.
To date they have done three or four alignments to no avail. I took the car to another mechanic and paid to have an alignment and they found that the cambers were off and I was going through tires left and right, forth set all around since I purchased the car. To date I am at a little over 60k miles and on a fourth set of tires. I am considering selling the car and went to have the car detailed and was told that the car already had repaint to it, REALLY?
Oh well I guess it was in a mishap after all. When I went in today for work on a recall for my airbags they came out with an estimated bill to fix my car for almost $700.00, and yes guess what? They were saying I needed yet another alignment. I am blamed for potholes etc, wow.
So who cares? Surely not Sun Toyota, my boo-ooh falls on deaf ears.
They did however offer to put me in a new car. RIGHT!

Clients of Sun Toyota Used Cars Department..Im writing this note because im very dissapointed and please people be very careful when u buy a used car at this place "SUN TOYOTA".Well heres my lill story..Only 5 months ago we bouthg a used gmc acadia 2011 and only one week after start the issues with the car battery, so they replaced, 2 weeks later again back to the service garage this time the car was leaking oil and has a weird sound when it started.. Well they said that the oil filter was loose..(they replaced) and give me my car back ..but still making the weird sound un the engine..conclussion the car has being more time in the garage service than in my house ..last time pass 3 weeks in the dealer waiting for chevrolet diagnostic for the weid sound .."Chevrolet said thats normal "but it wasnt there at the time when i bougth it"..with all of this problems in the car going on we decided to change the car so we went to the used car department and has been horrible like 3 times we been trying to get a fair deal and far away from being helped they trying to get money out me and take advantage of my situation they sold me a vehicle in a very bad conditons wich only took 2 weeks to start giving me issues and now they dont wanna help .I drive daily with 2 kids in the car and always afraid that something happens to the car while im driving , or have an accident with the kids inside the car .I dont feel safe on it.. It has been the most horrible experiece.The used cars manager Max..and the sales man Eddie Chavez that attend us were very unrespecfull and they told us that is nothing they can do for us so we still strogling with the car back and forth to the dealer and the house

went on sun toyota web sit to look around and i was looking for a 4 runner trd pro ITS ABOUT A $44000.00 SO WHEN I WAS ON THE WEB SIT THEY SAID FILL OUT THIS FORM AND THEY WILL GET ME BEST PRICE SO I DID THEY SENT OVER BEST BUY FOR $39725.00 SO SUNDAY 07/24/2016 MY ONLY DAY OFF WENT DOWN THERE AND TOOK A LOOK AT THE 4 RUNNER SALESMAN CAME AND TOLD ME 7 TO 8 OTHER FOLKS DROVE THIS BUT NO BOUGHT IT YET SO HERE COMES THE SALEMAN OUT WITH A TAG SO I DROVE IT AROUND THE BLOCK!!!! ACTUALLY IT DROVE LIKE *** NO POWER TO HEAVY ANYWAYS I AM A MANAGER TO A DEALER SHIP IN BROOKSVILLE FL SO WE GO INSIDE AND THE SALESMAN SIT ME DOWN AND ASK ME A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS AND THEN HE SAID IM GOING TO GET MY MANAGER TO GET ME THE LOWEST PRICE SO ABOUT 5 MIN LATER HERE COMES THE MANAGER HE SITS DOWN AND TELLS ME HOW RARE THESE 4 RUNNERS ARE WHAT BULL *** ANYWAYS HE SAID THERE IS NO ROOM FOR DISCOUNT AND I HAVE A VOUCHER TELLING ME $39725.00 SO I SHOWED HIM THE VOUCHER AND HE TOOK IT TO HIS MANAGER 5 MIN HE CAME BACK AND SAID ITS NO GOOD WAITED TO LONG VOUCHER WAS GOOD ON THE 07/21/2016 I WENT THEIR ON 07/24/2016 WHATS DOES IT MATTER THEY DID NOT EVEN MAKE A OFFER JUST TOLD ME THAT WAS IT TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT AND DID NOT GIVE ME MY $50.00 GAS CARD IF THIS HAPPENED AT MY PLACE I WOULD HAVE FIRED THE SALES MANAGER ON THE SPOT DID NOT EVEN TRY TO WORK A DEAL AT ALL WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to sun toyota and bought a car. We tried to purchase an extened warrenty and they couldn't seem to get the paperwork right.
We gave 100dollars down and they said we coudn't get it back. They ripped us off. Wonder how many more people they ripped off.
Went to chevy and got the warrenty. Will never go back.
Electric power steering is noisy driving about 60 mph
I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla. When turning the steering wheel side to side slightly there is a loud buzzing/humming sound/pitch.
The sound starts when going at higher speeds on the highway, 60 mph. The problem seemed to start after having the 2014 power steering recall done. What can be can be done about this problem?
I also have a problem with the radio.
The power goes out and when I turn it back on and push the preset button the radio goes off again. This happens repeatedly.

Ripped off by the service department
I went in for an oil change. I was advised that the Spark Plugs needed to be changed at 45 thousand miles.
I was also advised that I needed a new cabin filter, even though I replaced it the prior weekend. I was charged for a synthetic oil change, even though Toyota recommends standard oil. The Service manual does not recommend changing the spark plug until 60 thousand miles. I went ahead with the spark plugs because they were in dire need of changing.
I asked them to save the old plugs, but of course, they told me that already disposed of them.
I tried calling the service manager, but I have not received a response. I will not recommend any one use Sun Toyota.

I had the same problem I look at the Toyota RAV4 online at sun Toyota it was asking $11500 when I get there they brought me back to there junk yard and told me this is not worth 11500 it's worth A LOTS MORE WHEN IT IS FIXED UP The car look like a piece of .... And they asked me if I wanted to buy as it they will sell it to me for $12k what kind of *** is this is that the TOYOTA DEALER do fault advertisement .

Found a certified used Prius online I wanted. Called to see if they would be negotiable on the price and they said "of course" drove 2 hours from Orlando to see the car and the first thing the salesman pat says is it is non negotiable.
Ended up leaving pissed off and the next day I get a call to ask how it is and they asked if I could come back in. My mistake, I did and saw the car during day light hours and the inside of the car was absolutely destroyed. Anything that was plastic was damaged and it had stains all over the place. Inside the center console was something that spilled and the trunk 5th door had all sorts of damage on the inside portion.
Wasted 6 hours of my life between travel and seeing this car for them to *** me around.
Go to a different dealer. If you do go here deal with Willie Patti he was actually great.

I went into this dealership in February and purchased a $21,000 vehicle (used) just days after I had to purchase tires because one was losing air and when I had it checked was told it has a gash,then I started to have issues with the vehicle so I took it to the Ford dealer and they had it for over four weeks because it has to have two clutches in the transmission replaced.. I called Sun Toyota and spoke to Johnathon and was told he wanted to keep his customers happy and would be glad to buy the vehicle back and had to check some things and he would call me back, it is now three weeks later and I have never gotten a call back so I called him (Johnathon) and was told I would have to speak to customer relations..I left a message for Lori and was told they would not honor the buy back because it has been three months and the Ford dealer only had my car 4 days I explained I have the receipts from Ford and the rental car company and it was four weeks they had my car and I have all the documentation and the reason they don't want to honor it is because Johnathon is a liar and Sun Toyota doesn't honor the product they sell...meanwhile the vehicle is back in the dealership at Ford since the liner inside the vehicle is coming down.
Imagine that!! If I wanted a piece of *** vehicle I would have paid $1000 not $21,000 I guess I should have went to Chevy like always and got a quality product...but I will enjoy the car magnets that will be on al our vehicles telling everyone not to purchase from Sun Toyota ever..while my attorney begins this lemon law fight..

Sun had my truck for over 75 days to do a warrnty job they said would take 1 to 30 days. They had my truck, loaned me a corolla while they had truck.
Said they would comp. two tire and fuel
injector cleaning. Then then when they say it is all ready, they renegged. I do not
trust them.

I agree with several others & wish I too could give them a -ZERO.. Caveat Emptor if you make a wrong turn & go in to this dealership they kept me there so many HOURS I was going to call 911 & yell 'kidnapped'..
I was so exhausted at the end of 7+ hours (and no food) I signed whatever they put in front of me which I guess was the goal to begin with.. Keeping a 72+ (at that time Dec 2013) single woman hostage for 7+ hours borders on a crime against seniors which is a big issue here in Florida we even have a special division to handle those types of complaints.. In any event this lease is up next year & it will be my last Toyota lease (had 3) I am tired of being beat up by their sales people & ripped off by their service departments, all of which I have told Toyota USA & SE Toyota.. I have no problem speaking the truth..
I just filed my second complaint on this 2014 Corolla LE with NHTSA & my complaints joined many others so that just adds to my ire every month when I make the lease payment..The only reason I am writing this now after the fact is because I read the other comments & spoke with other *women* that were also treated in the same manner as I was.. I am disgusted with this 2014 Corolla LE which was not even close to being what I wanted when I went in to Sun to "do the lease end turn in of my 2011 Corolla"; I was just never allowed to make it back out the door without signing on the dotted line again for a *new* Toyota when in reality I wanted to buy out my 2011 & keep it..
Going to do my next lease with a different dealer & auto maker since my money is good anywhere I don't need them they need me.. Also, be aware & be mindful if you bring your vehicle into Sun's service department strange things happen there to your vehicle once they have their hands on it..

If I could give ZERO stars I would but you're forced to put at least 1. This dealership is full of employees who are rude and difficult to deal with.
We went to Sun in August of 2014 because they mailed us a "pre-approved" letter. When we met with the salesman he basically wouldn't show us anything except the 2014 Camry even when I told him it was more expensive than we would like, he said "they could make it work", we spent HOURS with him while they tried to put a deal together and when they couldn't make the numbers work after almost 4 hours (plus an hour drive there) we left. Fast forward to March 2015 where I get pulled over for having a "stolen tag" and come to find out that they transferred my tag before we even signed any paperwork and then NEVER transferred it back! I called and left messages for someone to call me back, no call back.
Then I call and get Donald in accounting on the line and he is rude with me, the person who was treated like a criminal for THEIR mistake. This is one of the absolute worst dealerships I have ever dealt with, I would NEVER recommend them. I have told everyone I know to stay far, far away from them and I will continue to do so.
Save yourself a lot of trouble and headache and go somewhere else. I ended up buying a car recently from Crown Kia and they were amazing, a completely different experience and it went so much better than with Sun.

Great sales team and showroom staff as well as the actual service reps themselves. The actual service technicians and operations manger on the other hand....
What a nightmare. Almost 4 months without my truck for a major collision, and nothing but gross negligence on behalf of the repair department and Rick Fowler. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP! Rick Fowler is a sad old man who needs to retire since he doesn't have the first clue how to own up to accepting responsibility when fault is blatantly on the end of the dealerships.

Went through the EXACT scenario 2 days ago with a Tacoma. Manager gave me a blank look when I quoted the internet price they gave me.
He and the salesman both told me how the trucks were so great that they sell themselves and they don't bargain below MSRP. Gave the impression they were doing me a favor by selling me a truck...
I owned a Tundra for 6 years and loved it. I would have been an easy cash sale at a fair price, but walked out.
